Spare Tire Orchestra

This release was inspired by a technical difficulty at a live show. Sound problems at the venue forced the band off the stage and into the middle of the audience, performing the rest of the show totally unplugged.
The CD is unedited from its live studio recording, giving the listener the feeling that the band is sitting in their living room with guitars and congas. It features re-recordings of the PM songs "Moonlight Over Paris" and "India," the latter fused seamlessly with a rendition of Crosby Stills and Nash's "Teach Your Children."
Will someone please explain to me why Peter Mayer isn't a bigger music star? His talent is simply enormous, and he surrounds himself with folks just as talented as he is. I just received Spare Tire Orchestra today (my fourth Peter Mayer CD) and have already listened to it twice. Once again, a beautiful Mayer album has been created. There isn't a song I don't like — music and lyrics are done to perfection. My favorite song on the CD is "Spare Tire Orchestra." No, wait, it's "India." No, it's "True Life Adventures." Ah, no, it's "Moonlight Over Paris." Oh, they're ALL great! (And when "Hair of the Dog" came on my two mutts went nuts!)
